Ivy Tech 3D Design Students display in Artspark

Ivy Tech Community College students from Patrick Flaherty's 3D Design class recently installed temporary sculptures in the Indianapolis Art Center's Artspark. Participants included Ross Alkire, Chad Blair, Eric Jones, Corri Norris, Blanca Sanchez, Matt Schreiber, and Chris Schwank.

The project began with doing 2D contour line drawings. From there the students made 3D maquettes out of foam and wire based on their drawings. From there they had to work to create a final sculpture out of chicken wire and possibly paper mache. The seven sculptures you will find throughout Artspark are the final realization of this creative process.
